Although the 1960s are not going to be covered in the bulk of the book, there are important threads that trace back from the 70s and forward to that era. Finding video of bands from the 1960s is rare, so having this of The Edicates playing a show called Dance Party on WLW-C in January 1969 is something special. If you're familiar with the band at all, you'll know that Glen Cataline, who would later join The Godz, played drums and sang for The Edicates.

New Additions: Precious Metal by Rosie
Rosie only managed one studio album, and I recently tracked it down while visiting Spoonful Records - the 1981 release Precious Metal. Here's a good summation from the Boneyard Metal blog:

ROSIE were a Hard Rock band formed by ex THE GODZ guitarist Mark Chatfield in Columbus, Ohio in early 1980. The band debuted with a self titled four song 12" EP in early 1981 and contributed a further track, "Sorry (I Forgot Your Name)", to a radio station sampler album entitled "Q-FM 96 Hometown Album Project Volume 3". With bassist Jay Chesbro being replaced by Ed Means, a full length studio album entitled "Precious Metal", was recorded and issued by Doubletree Records in late 1981. In 1985 guitarist Robert West was succeeded by new member Tom Courteney. The band's second and final album, 1988's "Rosie Live!", was recorded at The Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio on November 25th and 26th 1988. Chatfield would later crop up in BOB SEGER's SILVER BULLET band, with reformed line ups of THE GODZ and with Ohio band LUVHEAD.

Loudersound.com: Cult Heroes - The Godz
A few years back over at Loudersound.com, The Godz were featured as a part of a series called "Cult Heroes," their's was titled "the crazed story of America's great lost biker band." Here's a snippet:
There have been more than 30 members of The Godz over the last four decades. Some are now dead, some wish they were, and some don’t even remember what happened. But there’s one man who’s been there since the beginning. The biggest badass of ’em all: Eric Moore. Eric is still the leader of The Godz. He sings and plays lead guitar now, and employs the cream of the Columbus, Ohio rock scene to keep his infernal machine rolling. And he’s still living the same kill-for-thrills lifestyle he was in 1976.

New Additions: Nothing Is Sacred by The Godz
A recent visit to Spoonful Records here in Columbus procured me the second of two albums released by The Godz in 1979, this one being Nothing Is Sacred on Casablanca. I had not heard the band prior to starting this project, and my initial impression upon seeing the album artwork and band photos was that this was going to be the midwest answer to Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, but it turns out my assumptions were incorrect. While this is definitely rockin' in a late 70s way, there is both a country rock vibe at times (think Blackfoot) and a glam rock sound at other times (think Slade).
